Here’s What To Expect
Itinerary
You’ll meet your guide at the Heather Meadows Parking Lot adjacent to the Mount Baker Ski Area. After a brief orientation and gear check, you’ll head out for a full day of touring. Depending on conditions, expect your day to be 6-8 hours of touring with 2500-5000 ft of elevation gain and descent. The guides will facilitate a tour that meets the interests and ability level of the group.
This program is for intermediate-advanced riders with previous touring experience. If you're looking for a beginner tour, check out our Intro to Backcountry Skiing and Riding Course or schedule a private guided tour. If you'd like to go huge with your friends or have a specific objective in mind, scheduling a private guided tour is also recommended.
This general itinerary is subject to change based on weather, road conditions, and group considerations. You will receive a pre-course email in the weeks leading up to the course detailing exact meeting times and places.
