Women’s Affinity Rock-Rescue Course

The more time you spend in the vertical, the more you understand what can go wrong. Maybe you’ve dropped your belay device at the top of pitch three, rappelled past the next station, had to cut a stuck rope or even deal with an injury on route. The Women’s Affinity Rock-Rescue Course aims to empower women (queer, trans and cis-gendered) to take the lead by developing critical problem-solving skills in multi-pitch terrain.

We know that competence takes practice and solid partnership is paramount; that’s why we’ve created a season-long course to develop skills over time with a supportive group.

Join CMA in the ultimate introduction to backcountry touring. This two-part program is designed to provide a solid introduction to avalanche awareness and backcountry skiing and riding. This course is for women (queer, trans, and cis-gendered) and gender expansive folks wanting to begin their backcountry touring career in a supportive and community-focused learning environment.

Continue your avalanche education with our Women’s Affinity AIARE 2 Avalanche Course. This course is for women (queer, trans, and cis-gendered) who are ready to deepen their understanding of the avalanche phenomenon and hone their skills in decision making, terrain management, and tour planning.
